Quarantine
Ukraine has introduced some of the world's strictest measures against the H1N1 flu after its death toll rose to 53 people. Prime minister Yulia Tymoshenko has now imposed travel restrictions, banned public gatherings and closed schools and universities for three weeks in nine regions of Western Ukraine. Chabad led Ohr Avner schools in the affected regions are closed until further notice, and Shluchim are thinking of moving minyonim to their private home to enable the kehilla members to daven with a minyan. More than 191 000 Ukrainians have now registered with public health authorities as suffering from flu, of whom 83 000 were children. In Dinieprepretrovsk all Jewish education institutions- nurseries, Or Avner school, Bet Chana college, yeshiva and machon are closed since this Monday, November 2. Deputy director of Bet Chana V. Pinkas says the classes were suspended even for those girls who were in the Crimea at the time, and the girls went to their homes for the quarantine. All Jewish structures of Dnepropetrovsk cancel all mass events; the community center cancelled all programs for children, some events were cancelled at Chesed Menachem. P.S. i dont know whats true and whts not but there is NO yeshivah right now! so the boys are learning in mironova. Please pray that yeshivah start again soon

Oh my gosh! That's crazy. A Ukrainian guy in S Diego was telling me about it - he's from Donetzk. He was sending medication and stuff to his family there. He said that all the Optekas are out of everything. (This guy was a wealthy guy there, but he dropped everything when his daughter got involved with a Goy! - he just picked up and moved!)
Anyways, Refuah Shleima to all, Keep it strong
Peace and Love
